My name is YU-WEN LAIO. I grew up in Yunlin County.

I have been the secretary-general of the Taipei Doctors Union for nearly four years. My job includes to host a press conference per month, to make a post on our Facebook fan page, and to supervise policies of health care and labor every day. During the term of my job, the union’s members of the growth rate increased at least 10% in past 3 years.
In February 2020, I planned an observation and learning activity which was visiting The Hospital Authority Employees Alliance (HAEA) in Hong Kong. The workers struck for the right to get enough protective equipment during the COVID-19 outbreak and to forbid all travelers from entering Hong Kong via China.

There were more than 9000 HAEA members who had signed the pledge to strike. I was shocked by numerous medical personnel to go on the strike.
When the HAEA released press, they always provided Chinese and English version together, which largely increased the international visibility. Therefore, I have been thinking that I must practice my English writing and I hope I can make some contribution to the Taipei Doctors Union.

這是我近期去上英文寫作班的作業,放在這邊備份用。
